Master, the Tempest is Raging

"Master, the Tempest is Raging"

Master, the tempest is raging! The billows are tossing high!
The sky is o'ershadowed with blackness. No shelter or help is nigh.
Carest thou not that we perish? How canst thou lie asleep
When each moment so madly is threatening
A grave in the angry deep?

Chorus:

The winds and the waves shall obey thy will:
Peace, be still.
Whether the wrath of the storm-tossed sea
Or demons or men or whatever it be,
No waters can swallow the ship where lies
The Master of ocean and earth and skies.
They all shall sweetly obey thy will:
Peace, be still; peace, be still.
They all shall sweetly obey thy will:
Peace, peace be still.

Master, with anguish of spirit I bow in my grief today.
The depths of my sad heart are troubled.
Oh, waken and save, I pray!
Torrents of sin and of anguish
Sweep o'er my sinking soul,
And I Perish! I perish! dear Master.
Oh, hasten and take control.

(Chorus)

Master, the terror is over.
The elements sweetly rest.
Earth's sun in the calm lake is mirrored,
And heaven's within my breast.
Linger, O blessed Redeemer!
Leave me alone no more,
And with joy I shall make the blest harbor
And rest on the blissful shore.

(Chorus)

Dear Reader,

How much the words of this hymn reflect our week's experience! Dear AnnaMarie, who has suffered from diabetes since she was eight, had a bout of high blood sugar/dehydration this week, which was a harrowing experience. If not for hymns such as the one above, and peaceful words from the Holy Scriptures, we do not know how we could have handled the period of watching her walk "Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death." Even though we had prayed fervently, exercising our faith that her blood sugar would go down quickly the first day, the Lord in His infinite wisdom saw fit to try our faith, gradually bringing her back to us.

How grateful we are, also, for the healing power of the Lord's herbs, which we constantly administered to AnnaMarie, through her skin and through "injections" given with a bulb syringe.

Do you know that the skin will absorb many life-saving things, such as pure olive or coconut oil, water, and herbs? And that the body can live entirely off of what is absorbed through the skin? Truly we ARE wonderfully made!

We feel that the body is made to heal itself, and that given the proper elements (Combined with right living), anything can be healed, even something as dreaded as diabetes. We are following an enzyme-rich diet as much as possible, and are seeking always new knowledge to encourage AnnaMarie's pancreas to be made whole.

Here is a list of some of the things we have learned:

Exercise is VERY important to lower blood sugar (But very difficult to do in winter in Idaho!)

Water alone can bring down the sugars, flushing them from the body.

A hot, soaking bath or sauna treatment will help the body to excrete excess sugar through the skin.

Starchy foods, such as pasta and potatoes, are as hard on the pancreas as white sugar.

Green blender drinks and juices are a wonderful way to reduce acidity in the body (Anyone with a major disease has an acidic body condition.).

There are many herbal foods which the Lord created to help the body produce its own insulin, which grow everywhere around the world.

Pancreas-healing foods include celery, cucumbers, huckleberries, tomatillos, and green beans (especially the pods).

How thankful we are to have our sweet AnnaMarie with us, and for her putting up with being our "guinea pig", as we seek to find healing for her, as the Lord wills it to be so!

We love you, sweet AnnaMarie!

May you have a blessed Sabbath,

Love,

Marqueta
