The Annual Doll Fair

Dear Friends,

We are in the middle of "butterfly-hatching days" here at Birdsong Cottage. There have been 24 Monarch crysalids in all, with one or two going off on a new adventure each day. Soon we will be suffering from Empty Butterfly Cage Syndrome. :)

The small dolls had their annual fair this past week, and it was another fun one. Hyrum and the chickens made it a little difficult outside, but everyone worked really hard to make it all come together!

The queen and several princesses~

The Animal Show~

The horses before the big race~

The quilts and aprons were lovely, as usual~

And some wonderful foods were made for all to enjoy!

I wonder what next year's fair will bring?

  1. Oh my that was quite a doll show. One I am sure that will be remembered for years to come. Clarice

  2. Well now, I think everybody had Waaaaay too much fun!! (tee hee)!!
I think I enjoyed all those precious wide smiles the most!!
    What a great day!!
Love hugs and many blessings, Linnie and all the dolls and Mousiekins

  3. What a great Doll show... I love to see children using their creativity outside... Such sweet face here.

  4. That looks like it was a lot of fun. Maybe my little dolls need to start living it up. Maybe they too will have a fair one day ;) blessings to all of you.

  5. How sweet and innocent play. Reminds me of my girls all grown up now. I wish every little girl could have that opportunity and environment to play like that.

  6. Such a lovely fair! We are inundated with butterfly's and hummingbirds right now it is such a lovely sight in the front yard.

    Have a blessed day

  7. How fun! I'm an old woman but I'd still enjoy a good doll fair! I've noticed that we have a lot of butterflies this year. I think they are attracted to the anise hyssops which are really flourishing this year.

  8. Marqueta, what a lovely doll fair! I long for those days when my children were little. Enjoy each moment! I've been away and am home again but busy. Hoping to move to NC within the year. I hope to have chickens!! So I look forward to learning more about nature and chickens from all my lovely blog friends. Gina
