Birthday Delight

Dear friends,

This Tuesday we celebrated my forty-first trip around the sun. No wonder I'm so tired! :) The day was spent being with those I love best here at home (we were going to go to a botanical garden, but it was too cold to take Hyrum outside).

Frankie made me a paper farm, the next best thing to a real one. Evangeline made me a book commemorating our parakeet Peet, who passed away in March. Rebecca drew me "lots of little baby chicks and three foxes". Tasha gave me some service coupons, and Audrey wrote a parody of Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven. Oh, yes, and AnnaMarie spent the day before cleaning the kitchen and made the birthday meal!

To top it all off, I was blessed with a Pink Full Moon, which was a lovely way to end a lovely day.

Blessings to you today,

  1. Happy Belated Birthday... what wonderful birthday presents you received!

  2. Happy belated birthday, dear Marqueta! And Frankie, also! Sounds like a perfect birthday. And a nice full moon to top it off. In some ways, a paper farm is far superior to a real one. It takes a lot less work, and there are no taxes to be paid on it!

  3. Such a beautiful post... Lovely gifts from the girls. Happy Belated Birthday, Margueta.
Wishing you a blessed Easter morning.

  4. It looks like you had a marvelous birthday with the best gifts in the world from some of the nicest kids on earth. I am happy for you! And you look very lovely and young at 41 years, which is to me, pretty young! A belated Happy Birthday and Easter to you all. Jeri

  5. Marqueta, Happy happy birthday! Your children are so sweet!

  6. Looks like your day was the best, and what special are a beautiful woman and such a sweet soul dear Marqueta
