Happy Pioneer Day!

Good morning, Dear friends,

Today in Idaho and Utah we celebrate the 24th of July as the day that the Mormon pioneers first entered the Salt Lake Valley in 1847. They had traveled west to escape persecutions in Illinois and Missouri, where their homes and farms were being destroyed because of their beliefs.

Both Mr. Graham and I have ancestors who were pioneers, and I am grateful to be a recipient of their sacrifices.

Here is a video we found that shows some of the scenery they passed on their journey west:

  1. Oh Marqueta,

Que lindo es tener una familia tan llena de historia.

Gracias por invitarme a saber un poquito de tu linda familia.

    Con el amor de Cristo,
