The skies have been cloudy for the past few days, but they haven't put a damper on the joys of springtime and the celebration of new life!
We do our Easter baskets the Saturday before Easter, to help the children separate the pagan from the religious. :)
This year, even the Tall Dolls had baskets of their very own!
The dolls had a lovely tea with hat-shaped cakes and pizzas~
And we have been attempting to imitate God's glorious creations. . . ~
. . . with our watercolor paints~
. . . And working on our family's first book, "Spanish for Mormons"~
Yesterday we found a special package on our doorstep. Have you ever seen a box glowing with love? This one was! It was from our dear blog friend Linnie of The Butt'ry and Book'ry, and inside were seeds from her farm and a beautifully-decorated goose egg that she painted. Thank you, Linnie; it will become a treasured heirloom!
We hope you are enjoying this day, whether sunny or gray!
Love,
Marqueta

Easter Week
See the land, her Easter keeping,
Rises as her Maker rose.
Seeds, so long in darkness sleeping,
Burst at last from winter snows.
Earth with heaven above rejoices;
Fields and gardens hail the spring;
Shaughs and woodlands ring with voices,
While the wild birds build and sing.
You, to whom your Maker granted
Powers to those sweet birds unknown,
Use the craft by God implanted;
Use the reason not your own.
Here, while heaven and earth rejoices,
Each his Easter tribute bring-
Work of fingers, chant of voices,
Like the birds who build and sing.
Rises as her Maker rose.
Seeds, so long in darkness sleeping,
Burst at last from winter snows.
Earth with heaven above rejoices;
Fields and gardens hail the spring;
Shaughs and woodlands ring with voices,
While the wild birds build and sing.
You, to whom your Maker granted
Powers to those sweet birds unknown,
Use the craft by God implanted;
Use the reason not your own.
Here, while heaven and earth rejoices,
Each his Easter tribute bring-
Work of fingers, chant of voices,
Like the birds who build and sing.
