Dear Friends,
Thank you, as always, for your sweet comments and friendship; AnnaMarie tells me that her quilt is ALMOST ready for its portrait!
Yesterday was Mr. Graham's day off, so we decided to visit one of the nearby lakes that offers swimming and boating.
Needless to say, it was a big hit, and Frankie and Evangeline have been clamoring to go back soon! Even though we live about as far away from the ocean as we can get, we are thankful to be able to enjoy the water and sand close to home (although of course without the salty air and gulls!).
Frankie says, "You can never be too safe!"
Love,
Marqueta
What good fun family time...and a wonderful way to cool off a bit....can't wait to see that quilt....blessings
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh!
ReplyDeleteWhat grand pictures of a refreshing family outing!!
Blessings Love and lots of Hugs,
Linnie
Ohhh ~ so glad you have a lovely lake to take a dip in! (I prefer fresh water to salty anyday ~ I grew up on a farm with a river running thru it. Now I live on a salty bay. Always interesting but prefer to swim in the fresh water.)
ReplyDeleteAnd how nice that Mr. Graham could join in the fun, too!
Stay cool!
Looks like a fabulous watering hole and very refreshing...It is so hot here the water in the pool is like jacuzzi temp it must be 90 to 100 degrees. That lake looks like it would be the perfect place to cool off ~Cute pictures Love Heather
ReplyDeleteThat sparkly water shot is amazing! And I'm so glad that you raised Frankie with an understanding of safety. I have a prediction. He will grow up to be a flight attendant! ;)
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
Dear Mama,
ReplyDeleteIt was fun at the beach~ but I wish the camera had a better zoom so we could get pictures of the geese and vultures!
I love you and I like you!
Love,
A.G.
p.s. the Verification is "intiotin"!?
I love the beach weather at the ocean or a lake. But I did grown up right on the beach loved it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a lovely day.
Love Erika
It looks like your family had a lovely time! We have not had too much beach weather around here...in fact it feels like fall is just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

What lovely photos of your family! A day at the beach is such a wonderful way to spend the day! It's raining here today, still I might venture down to the beach for a walk.
ReplyDeleteHoping you have a lovely weekend!
What a lovely day! What is it about the water that brings out the child in all of us?? Looks refreshing and cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I agree with Frankie. You can't be to safe. Looking forward to seeing that quilt!
ReplyDeleteMy Dear Friend Marqueta,
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful time! I would love to get my hands on Miss Button Nose and give her a big hug. What a cutie pie! But they all are.
Your comment about the hobo spider -- I have heard of them. They are very poisonous aren't they? And not as "heard of" as they should be. I am glad you do not have them where you are. The big scare here is the brown recluse.
Well, gotta run. Love you!
Lynn
Oh, what a fun trip! It looks so nice in the water :) My in-laws live off of Table Rock Lake there in MO. Its always so nice out there :)
