Saying Goodbye to Summer~

Dear Friends,

We've been looking through our photos this morning, feeling nostalgic about our first summer in Missouri. It's been a wonderful time (despite the swarms of mosquitoes) to be out exploring, and as the leaves begin to turn gold, we savor each day that we have had of green.

It has been a time of making new friends, and running free!
As we say goodbye to the season of home-grown tomatoes and walking barefoot in the grass, we look ahead to a new adventure for our family. Birdsong Cottage has been for us a stepping stone, so to speak, to get us to Missouri and one step closer to finding our homestead in the country. Our lease agreement will be completed Mid-October, and we hope to have found our dream by then. Here's to hope! One thing we know is that, no matter where we are planted, we will continue to treasure the relationships of family and friends, and the simple pleasures that cannot purchased with money.

Thank you to you all of you, for sharing our adventures with us. We count you among our greatest blessings!

Love,
Marqueta and Family

  6. I am so glad that you are enjoying the book, I thought it was just the kind of thing that you would enjoy reading. I am stunned by AnneMarie's quilt. It is BEAUTIFUL and she has a good eye for colour too. Something that I find particularly hard to do with my own quilting. Is it all hand sewn? I am not sure of the concept of a Hope Chest?

Blowing a gale here in the UK..apparently the tail end of hurricane Katya?? Autumn is definately on the horizon. Have a lovely week and good luck with the house hunting. Dev x

  12. Hello Miss Lovely!
I have been without internet for a bit during the move, and have missed visiting with you ;-)

I must say when we wait on the Lord, He surely places you! Waiting and looking is hard but sometimes we have to learn where He wants us to be, and there are lessons to go through in order to land where the Lord wills.
I am looking forward and hoping right along with you!! I can picture you on your Homestead already!!
Husband and I had to wait 16 years for our perfect place!!! (come see) And the Lord has given to us MORE then we ever imagined!!

Blessings Love and Lots and lots of HUGS, Linnie
