  2. Dear Mama,

I like the post- chickens are kind of hard to photograph, though!

I love you, a bushel and a peck!

  3. Ah, nothing quite so smashing as a copper colored chicken! They look like a buff orpington/ rhode island red mix, mine look just like that.
Have fun, chickens are always full of tricks!

  5. Goodness me! What a full house you have! Your chickens bring back happy memories of the ones my granny kept in her meadow. Searching for their eggs was always fun. A belated happy birthday to sweet Audrey; the years pass so quickly don't they. Love to you all from across the pond, Eli x

  8. How cute. I love chickens don't you? I am enjoying our ducks right now they are so funny.

But, chickens seem to invite themselves all the time, once they figure out where to go.

Love our chickens too and yes, they are so hard to photograph! It has been so hot here we give them watermelon and lettuce for treats.

  13. So adorable!, I love, love hens. We now have 6 tiny balls of fluff in a broody box, well they are not so tiny as they were, being just over a week old now. Must post pics soon. Little Fairy is chief hen monitor and takes her duties very seriously. Will be a while before we are collecting yummy eggs for breakfast, but well worth the wait. Have a great weekend. Dev x
