Dear Friends,
A happy weekend to you! We hope that you are finding something to love today, and sharing that love with your dear ones.
We are excited to be almost finished illustrating our first "real" book, and to have acquired a nice new artist's clipboard to keep track of our work!
We are also excited that our letter we submitted to Victoria Magazine was published in the current issue; it still seems unreal to see our name in print!
We've been enjoying the wild blackberries that are ripening in our backyard, as well as the mulberries near my in-laws' house. We just learned that mulberry leaves are beneficial for high blood sugar, so we've harvested lots of them to dry. There is always something new to learn about this beautiful world that we live in, isn't there? There are surprises in the commonest things.
We'll leave you with a bit of cuteness we encountered the other day. Evangeline and Frankie were enjoying a nibble of something yummy and didn't know they were being photographed. It's brother and sisterhood at its finest! :)Love,
Marqueta
Oh Marqueta...how precious are those pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteMy blackberries have yet to flower, they are new plants, so I don't expect much this year.
Thank you for sharing...and I really like your new look ;0)
Con mucho carino,
Maria
Your new drawings are lovely! I can't wait to see what you come up with next! I am so impressed!
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful photos of your little ones. I love candid photos!
Have a lovely weekend!
Love,
Emily Fay
How exciting about a "real" book! And so grand to have an artist's clipboard for keeping order!
ReplyDeleteI just noticed your name in my Victoria Magazine and was going to comment on that!
Yummy! I can't wait for berries to arrive here in the PNW! We just need a little more sunshine first!
The photos of the children are sweet! Isn't it just a balm to one's heart when siblings are such good friends?
Summer Blessings!
As always a very lovely post...the pictures of your little ones are precious....blessings dear Marqueta
ReplyDeleteHello there dearest heart, oh, to see your successes is a rich blessing for me for I long to one day publish something. Your kind words are sweet to me, and coming to visit you is a treat. What a rich life we live when we love, non?
ReplyDeleteGIVING, LOVING and HOPING is what GOD has intended us to do. May we all live in His GRACE!!!! Anita
Too Cute!! have a wonderful weekend ~Love Heather
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are so dear! Especially the last one. How exciting about Victoria publishing your letter. I'll have to look that up. Another blogging friend had a story published in MaryJanes Farm. I amble the internet among some talented people! I find it hard to compose a comment! So you're working on another book? Will this one be an e-book also?
ReplyDeleteBTW, I forgot to add, I think you are right about my plant being yarrow. I went to the farmers market and studied all the plants. Yarrow is what it most closely resembles. Albeit, a very strange sort of yarrow. I'll have to move it to the herb garden. While at the market, I got some figwort (good for lymphatic system). There's a Mennonite gal there that sells all sorts of unusual herbs.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful pics of the kids. I love blackberries!
ReplyDeleteGod bless
Krafty Girl
I love the series of pictures. Siblings are simply the best!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie

ReplyDeleteI'm back to ask a favor. Please visit me today... You are one of the people I thought might be able to give me some advice!
ReplyDeleteThank you in advance! :)
Blessings, Debbie
Glad to hear you are coming along on the new book. I love the new format and title picture on your blog--very nice!
ReplyDeleteBTW--I FINALLY got a new letter written and in the mail today. I'll try to get your books in the mail this weekend--but the Lord has us hopping lately, so it may be a while.
Marqueta, just back to let you know I went to the library today and read your essay in Victoria. It was lovely!
ReplyDeleteI thought I left a comment here already, but did I not? Ahhhh, life might be just a touch busy. I love the little fairy doll! A sweet drawing. I love it. Well, work calls, just taking a little break. Will be in touch with you soon by good old snail mail. :)
ReplyDeleteLove,
Lynn
